Nic and Jacelyn founded FreelyGiven Inc. We live in Cambodia with our 5 children and it is our hope to remain here long term doing medical missions and building up the local church. An additional aspect of our calling is to facilitate missions experiences for others, including both missions trips and long term assignments.

Riah joined us for a gap year to explore her calling to missions work. One of her roles is keeping our online presence more consistent. Riah has also worked closely with the local church. Throughout the year several wonderful ministry opportunities have opened and Riah has decided to return for a second year! Riah regularly travels to the village of Taom to teach English and participate in children’s ministry. Teaching English is an important service to children in rural areas and Riah has recently started an ESL certification course. In addition, now that she has piloted a gap year experience with us, Riah looks forward to working with future gap year participants.

Schneider, as we call him, arrived in January '24 for a 11-17 month mission. Trained as an EMT, he is here primarily to assist Jacelyn in all things medical.

Support Staff

(Team Members We Still Need)

There are several roles that can provide significant assistance to this ministry, enabling us to not only serve more Cambodians, but also open our doors to more mission trips and gap year students.

All teachers will adhere strictly to this dress code. :)

TEACHER: The Davidson crew will have 4 school aged children for the next 5 years, and our youngest hasn’t even started Kindergarten … so homeschooling will be a continuing need in our family for many years! First and foremost, we prefer to homeschool our children for the betterment of their spiritual lives. In addition, however, homeschooling is a necessity in our location. At the current time in Cambodia, only the capital city offers high school education that meets requirements for college admission outside of Cambodia. Due to this, some missionary families feel they have no choice but to return home when their children reach high school. Other families move to the capital, where the majority of missionaries already live. It is our hope to remain in Siem Reap, which provides excellent access to the rural villages where we desire to concentrate our ministry. Having assistance in the schooling of our children will help make this possible. The presence of a teacher has been an incredible blessing to our family during our first year here. It is our sincere hope that this same blessing will be poured out on those who are called to support our ministry in this way.

MEDIA PERSONNEL: We are always blessed by any assistance in keeping our humble website up to date (or improving said website). We also love to share our work through online videos and blogs, but somehow struggle to find the time in the midst of caring for our children, schooling, language study, meals, laundry, sweeping, sleep (you get the idea 😊). Our ability to share our faith and calling, and encourage others to follow God’s leading in their life, would increase exponentially in the hands of someone with a passion for online media! Even more, our Christ-focused online impact would extend beyond the US to our brothers and sisters in Cambodia (who utilize social media on par with Americans).

Joining our team in Cambodia to serve as a media specialist could be just the opportunity a creative, tech-savvy person is looking for, who desires to use their talents for the Lord.
